This weekend should start off a good fishing season on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The temperatures are expected to be around 90 and the promise of some good SSW winds coming into the Hatteras area and down the Outer Banks should help warm the water temperatures and bring in some interesting fishing. I am off to the Rock Fish Rodeo this weekend on the Roanoke River in Weldon, North Carolina which is Rock Fish Capital and known that way for the spawning or what locals call as the striper fight. Yesterday I caught over 8 in just a short time that were good keepers between right at 22 inches. Catch and release is my game with these stripers. This week a nice 35 pounder was caught. Happy fishing to all and and I off to hold a tight line. Debbie
